Our Sustainability Commitment
As digital transformation continues to unfold, Hitachi Digital Services is empowering a sustainable future by fostering a meaningful positive impact for our people and planet. From sustainability offerings for our customers to leveraging the use of technology to measure our own ESG impacts, our commitment to driving sustainability transformation can be found in every part of our business.

Our Sustainability Goals align with the topic areas most relevant to the long-term financial sustainability of our business, as surfaced in our FY2024 Materiality Assessment. We are committed to regularly and transparently sharing progress toward these goals as we move forward in our efforts.
Environmental
- Commit to becoming net zero by FY2050
- Commit to setting a near-term goal aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) by FY2025
- Achieve carbon neutrality in Scope 1 and 2 by FY2030
- Achieve 100% of electricity used from renewable sources by FY2030
- Develop a Reduction Roadmap in FY2025 and align goals aiming for SBTi submission focusing on the main emissions sources under Scope 3
- Expand e-waste programs to 50% of offices by FY2030
- Increase recycled water usage in the Hyderabad building water recycling plant to 80% by FY2030
- Publish an Environmental Policy in FY2025
- Foster environmental awareness and action through at least 20 in-person and virtual events during Earth Month
Social
- Target 30% completion of Core People Manager Training by people managers
- Achieve 1,000 volunteer hours during our annual Global Giving Week by FY2025
- Deliver high-impact local initiatives through volunteering and giving campaigns
- Expand Satisfaction Surveys for customers with S1M+ in revenue by FY2027
- Maintain more than 90% participation in performance reviews
Governance
- Engage and educate 90% of our active supplier spend on reaching GHG reductions by FY2040
- Launch a Sustainability Committee by FY2025
- Continue to align cybersecurity practices with industry-leading standards and have board reviews regularly
- In FY2025, maintain annual supplier engagement on ESG surveys/audit and assess for modern slavery risk through periodic review of suppliers’ ESG activities
