My Hitachi journey
I joined Hitachi Vietnam as a BA fresher shortly after my graduation. I have learnt a lot of skills in terms of analysis, software development, communication, and other technical and domain knowledge from my colleagues, the customers, especially my BA leader, and from lots of helpful courses provided by Hitachi. During my time here, I have had the opportunity to work on several projects in a variety of domains, including Rails, Energy, Supply Chain, E-commerce, and IoT, for which I am extremely grateful to the managers who gave me these opportunities.
Now as a BA lead cum Product Owner on one of the division’s biggest projects, I am honored to guide new BA members on their career journey. I am also happy to share that I have just received an award – ‘Divisional Outstanding Employee of the year 2021’, which is coincidentally at the same time as my 5 Year Hitachi anniversary, and this is one of the most important milestones in my life.
A day in my life
My team, both the project team and the BA team, collaborates closely. Often, we begin our day with a call to share the previous day’s results or challenges, as well as to prepare for the work ahead. Sharing issues and lessons learnt with each other helps in broadening our knowledge and adds to our skills. We also have monthly get-togethers to celebrate success, talk about our personal lives, and bond.
Working closely, I believe, helps motivate each other and enhances our productivity, allowing us to work on our growth as well as contribute to the organization.
A career highlight
Since joining the organization, I have accomplished many remarkable milestones, but I am most proud of being part of my current project, which is developing a comprehensive railway management solution that leverages the best-in-class technologies such as IoT, Big Data, and Cloud Computing to provide the capability of real-time monitoring, real-time alerting, and condition-based maintenance.
Our solution is used by hundreds of rolling stocks throughout Scotland, Wales, and England that provide an effective and efficient tool to manage train fleets. The aim is to lower the operation and maintenance costs while increasing train utilization, customer service satisfaction, and return on investment.
