A member of the Hitachi Digital Services Board of Directors and chief information officer at Hitachi Energy, Michael Loechle is a strategic business partner with a longstanding record of successfully leading global teams.
A reliable and pragmatic executive, Michael has more than a decade of experience across general management and auditing, as well as more than 25 years of experience in information management. He has worked extensively in compliance, enterprise transformation, SAP implementation, and shared services. Michael is passionate about driving strategic solutions to complex business challenges, from strategy definition and implementation to global operations and sourcing.
As Hitachi Energy’s chief information officer, Michael managed the organization’s establishment as a completely new, independent, and self-contained company, building a standalone IT infrastructure, applications, platforms, and core services. He continues to align with stakeholders across the broader Hitachi family on IT strategy and operating models.
In addition to his roles with Hitachi, Michael also serves as a member of the Customer Advisory Board at Salesforce and the Board of Directors at Arcondis Group. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Swiss IT Leadership Forum for 10 years and is a lecturer at the University St. Gallen, where he received a Master’s degree in international business law (MBL). Michael also holds an Executive MBA from Stanford University.
