Atsushi Yanai is a member of the Hitachi Digital Services Board of Directors and currently serves as the Deputy General Manager of Digital Systems & Services Finance for the Cloud Services Platform Business Unit at Hitachi, Ltd. His career at Hitachi, Ltd. began in 1998, where he initially worked in cost accounting and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for the consumer products factory in Hitachi city. By 2007, he transitioned to HQ Finance FP&A for listed group companies.
In 2014, Yanai-san advanced to the role of Accounting Manager for Hitachi, Ltd. on a single basis, showcasing his capability in handling complex financial structures. His strategic financial leadership continued to evolve, and in 2021, he was appointed Director of HQ Finance for Hitachi Consolidated Accounting. His role expanded in 2023 when he became the Director of Digital Systems & Services Finance for the Managed Service Division/Digital Platform Division of Cloud Services Platform Business Unit. In 2024, he assumed his current role as Deputy General Manager of Digital Systems & Services Finance for the Cloud Services Platform Business Unit.
Throughout his tenure at Hitachi, Yanai-san has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in financial management and strategic planning, contributing significantly to the company's financial stability and growth. His leadership in the Digital Systems & Services Finance sector is instrumental in advancing Hitachi's cloud services and digital platform initiatives.
Yanai-san earned his Bachelor of Social Sciences from Hitotsubashi University before joining Hitachi, which laid the foundation for his successful career in finance and accounting.
