Anthony Roberts is an independent director, investor, and business advisor who serves as a member of the Hitachi Digital Services Board of Directors. As a senior technology executive, he has worked at the Board and CxO level, as well as led operations for Fortune 100 companies. Most recently, he served for six years as global chief information officer of Walgreens Boots Alliance.
Anthony is an experienced independent board director with an extensive understanding of corporate governance, having worked with executives and publicly traded companies at the global level. In additional to his role on the Hitachi Digital Services Board, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Rackspace Technologies (RXT) and has served as a Board member on the Main Board of Cegedim SA and the Supervisory Board of Alliance Healthcare Deutschland GmbH.
Anthony also works in non-executive and advisory roles for technology-led global businesses. In addition to his Board responsibilities, Anthony invests in a portfolio of start-up businesses, all of which have innovative technology at the heart of their solutions.
Throughout his career, Anthony has created global technology-enabled business solutions that have delivered transformational change across domains including healthcare, retail, and product brands, as well as through supply chain transformation. He is passionate about building empowered teams and innovative partnerships to enable new business models.
