A global horticulture company moves to S/4HANA to increase responsiveness and customer engagement
This leading player in the horticulture industry has a global family of breeders, research and development teams, suppliers, and distribution companies around the globe. In 2022, the company wanted to upgrade its 15-year-old on-premises legacy SAP ECC system to SAP S/4HANA to improve performance, provide timely information to its customers, and take advantage of new functionality.
Hitachi Digital Services performed a technical migration from SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 0 to SAP S/4HANA 2021 FSP2. The team minimized impact on the business by thoroughly testing all custom solutions, integrations, and business processes, along with conducting multiple dry runs of the upgrade process.
The Hitachi Digital Services team:
- Remediated all custom SAP code to comply with the new S/4 data models and coding conventions.
- Migrated all systems from on-premise to Microsoft Azure.
- Implemented Tricentis Tosca, a codeless AI-powered solution to accelerate end-to-end testing; automated test scripts; and performed disaster recovery tests.
